Terms of service

Effective date: July 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Second Profit LLC (30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), the operator of Finlume, a personal finance tracker. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You need an account to use Finlume, created with your email address or through Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use Finlume.

Free plan and Pro subscription

The free plan includes core features with limits (currently one active wallet and one budget). The Pro subscription removes those limits and unlocks additional features, such as wallet sharing and advanced reports.

Pro is billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, after which your account returns to the free plan and its limits. Prices may change, but never retroactively for a period you have already paid.

Your data and content

Everything you enter into Finlume — wallets, transactions, budgets, categories, tags, and notes — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it. You can export it or delete your account (and all of its data) at any time from Settings.

Finlume works with data you enter manually. The app does not connect to banks, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you record.

Wallet sharing

When you share a wallet, the people you invite can see that wallet's data according to the permission you grant, and can add or edit transactions if you allow it. You are responsible for choosing who you share with. You can revoke access at any time, and invitees can leave at any time. Only share data you have the right to share.

Not financial advice

Finlume is a record-keeping and visualization tool. Nothing in the app — including balances, charts, reports, or market prices — is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Exchange rates and stock or crypto prices come from third-party providers, are informational only, may be delayed or inaccurate, and should not be relied on for trading decisions.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting our systems, reverse engineering, using the service for unlawful activity, or reselling it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Finlume fast and available, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Profit LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses resulting from decisions made based on information in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using Finlume and delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the effective date above. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Finlume after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
